The front-end is the part of your website your customer deals with directly: the buttons, menus, forms, animations and everything they see and click. However good a design looks on paper, the customer only experiences it once it has been turned into a fast, easy-to-use website. That is exactly the work a front-end programmer does.

At a basic level, front-end programming — HTML, CSS and JavaScript — doesn't sound complicated. The difference between an amateur and a professional starts to show when a site has to work equally well across dozens of different screen sizes, in several browsers and on a slow internet connection, all while keeping fast loading times.

Our front-end programmers turn a design into code so that the result is exactly as intended and technically sound at the same time. We pay particular attention to responsive design (the site adapts to phone, tablet and desktop), to speed and to a site's technical SEO requirements, because slow loading pushes up the bounce rate and harms your positions in Google.

Front-end is not isolated work. It happens in close cooperation with the designer, whose vision the programmer brings to life, and with the back-end programmer, whose prepared data the front-end shows to the user.
