Cookie Policy
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. It allows the site to remember your actions and preferences (for example, language or cookie consent) so you don't have to set them again on every visit.
Our cookie management tool
Devio.lv uses an in-house cookie consent tool (not a third-party service such as Cookiebot). When you visit the site a consent dialog is shown where you can accept all, reject all, or pick individual categories. All non-essential categories are off by default — no cookie that requires your consent is set until you explicitly opt in. You can change your choice at any time and the corresponding cookies are deleted automatically.
Your choice is stored in your browser (localStorage key devio-cookie-consent-v2). You can change it at any time by opening the tool via the floating cookie button at the bottom-left of the page or the button below.
Cookie categories
Necessary
Required for the basic operation and security of the site and for storing your cookie consent. Always active and contain no personally identifiable data. Example: devio-cookie-consent-v2 (localStorage, kept until you clear it).
Functional
Support extra features such as social sharing or embedded video playback (YouTube, Vimeo). Devio.lv does not currently load such embeds unless you consent to this category.
Analytics
Help us understand how visitors use the site — which pages are visited, where visitors come from, how long they stay. We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-ECVP2CE7JS). With your consent the following cookies may be set: _ga (2 years), _ga_ECVP2CE7JS (2 years), _gid (24 hours), _gat (1 minute). If you decline or withdraw consent these cookies are deleted automatically and Google Analytics is blocked via Google Consent Mode v2.
Google Consent Mode v2
Our tool is integrated with Google Consent Mode v2. By default all optional consent signals (analytics_storage, functionality_storage, personalization_storage) are set to "denied", while security_storage is "granted". As soon as you approve a category the corresponding signals switch to "granted" in real time and Google services adjust their behaviour accordingly.
How to disable or delete cookies in your browser
In addition to our tool you can manage cookies directly in your browser settings — block all cookies, delete existing ones, or set warnings. More info: aboutcookies.org. Note that blocking all cookies may break some site features.
